Christian Fundamentalists Define Loving
I think part of the conflict we call the cultural war is caused by sides using different meanings of words. For instance, us progressives think that when two people care about each other deeply and want to get married that would be loving. Pastor Dave Allison however thinks this is loving.

Why anyone would want to worship a god that hates love is an exercise left to the reader.

Add insult to injury: nowhere is it specified if it counts for a boy kissing a girl as well.

The sign also says "Finding and feeding his sheep."
Uh. Isn't it usually phrased "flock" or "lambs" or something? "Sheep" is a bit charged with the nuance of stupidity.

It just occurred to me that preachers too could be of that set of people who do what they do because they are twisted, opinionated, power hungry and want to bring more people over to their way of thinking. this might seem obvious to others, but I guess I was always of the opinion that preachers had good intentions, even if they were misguided.

Does the name of the church strike anyone else as ironic? "Havens Corners"? Just say no.

i really love it when people go and cherry pick passages from the Old Testament and claim it has anything to do with 'chrisianity'.

-sigh-

"I make a new covenant..." dammit.

I mean; it annoys me when fiction is not internally consistant!
I will accept that Neo is The one! Great! I will NOT accept that Morpheous somehow lost all charisma.
or that a katana would do that to an SUV. I WILL believe that Trinity can jump 200 yards.
le sigh
