2008-03-17-10:20 - Religion and Treason
Religious leaders have a tendency to say stupid and embarrassing things. But it is important to distinguish the type of stupid. Saying "God damn American for treating our citizens as less than human" for instance makes you a potty mouth. It doesn't make you a traitor. To be a traitor you need to intentionally blowing a CIA officers cover.
Saying "the US created AIDS" does however make you an idiotic conspiracy theorist. But the guy probably also believes in virgin births, angles, resurrecting rabbis, and lots of other things that are even less likely.

Atheist by in large have never had well developed eschatological literature save perhaps what astrophysics tells us about the eventual fate of our sun and such. Well it looks like someone is trying to fill the gap in atheist end of world fiction.
As is common for such literature it reveals little about how it will end. However, it does as often shed light on the authors hopes and wishes. I submit that living through this atheist apocalypse, while no more likely than the religious fantasies, would be much preferable.
